Input and Output???

The old computer term, "garbage in, garbage out" is very appropriate here. While there appears to be an unlimited supply of fresh food available to us in the local grocery store. Our society relies heavily on the convenience of packaged food items and meals prepared by restaurants and fast-food franchise stores.

Your weight and health are not the key concerns of the people making such inviting products! The production and marketing of convenience food is concerned primarily with consumer appeal, impulse purchases, shelf life and return on investment. Therefore, portion sizes depend on economy, not individual hunger signals. Ingredient lists are a balance of flavor enhancement, spoilage control and cost factors. Nutritional analysis comes afterwards, and only because labeling regulations require it. Foods are designed primarily to appeal to your palette… using addictive flavor enhancers such as solid fats, oils, and many forms of sweeteners.

Enjoy eating out and the convenience of prepared foods. But balance them with fresh produce, grains and protein sources. The optimum combination will give you energy and a strong, lean body.

To discover your optimum balance, I offer you several levels of testing and analysis. They range in cost from very affordable to, well, very committed.
